The Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mr. Osita Okechukwu, has said that the outcome of the Anambra election was a fallout of the APC’s commitments to free and fair elections in Nigeria.
Okechukwu disclosed this to newsmen on Sunday in Enugu while reacting to the outcome of the Nov. 18 Anambra Governorship Election.
INEC had earlier on Sunday announced that the incumbent, Gov. Willie Obiano, had the highest margin of vote in each of the 21 council areas of the state.
Okechukwu, who is a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), said: “Gov. Willie Obiano benefited handsomely from President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to free, fair and transparent elections.
“This is a case of a democracy convert, who behaved better than old democrats”, he said.
