The Governor Obiano-led administration will complete all ongoing projects across the state before the end of its tenure in 2022.
This assurance was given by the Director General of the State Project Management and Monitoring Office, Engineer Mike Ogbuekwe, while featuring at the News and Current Affairs audience participatory Radio and Television programme, ‘Face the Press recently.
Engineer Ogbukwe enthused that despite the lean resources of the state government, signature projects such as the ongoing Cargo Airport, Umueri and the International Conference Centre, Awka as well as numerous road projects across the state would be completed on schedule.
While expressing optimism that the Federal Government would eventually refund about forty three billion naira spent over the years by the Anambra State government on federal roads,
the Project management and monitoring DG also expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the second Niger Bridge at the Onitsha-Asaba axis.
Engineer Ogbuekwe equally said that the community choose your project and execute initiative of the state government has recorded what he described as a grand success,
pointing out that the impressive delivery of democracy dividends by the Obiano administration would enhance the chances of the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the forthcoming general election in the country.
