Obiano emphasises need for quality education

Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, has said that his government will continue to invest in education as a sure way to secure the future of the state.
He stated this during the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ezinne Christiana Ozoigbo in their country home, Amesi, Aguata local government Area.
Speaking during the event, Governor Obiano acknowledged that the state is always taking lead in education, especially in external examinations due to the quality of education and adequate learning environment his administration had provided in schools across the state.
He commended the teachers in the state for their commitment towards driving his education initiative, saying the state government will continue to support them to be more productive.
While congratulating the celebrants, who were teachers, Governor Obiano emphasized that the greatest way to honour an educationist is to invest in education and commended the family for setting up an education endowment fund in their honour.
One of the sons of the celebrants, Mr. Valentine Ozoigbo said the celebrants devoted their lives to teaching and impacting on people, adding that they are setting up the endowment due to the high premium their parents placed on education.
Mr. Ozoigbo thanked the governor for identifying with the family, saying the community would always support his political ambition.
