Obaze commends PDP’s NCC for upholding Anambra guber primary

After reviewing all petitions which trailed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial primary election in Anambra state, the National Caretaker Committee of the party has upheld the election of Oseloka Henry Obaze as the flag bearer in the November 18, gubernatorial election in the state.

While commending the PDP leadership and members of the committee for handling the matter with courage, Obaze noted that such due process measures has reaffirmed the democratic ideals and the vibrancy of the internal workings of the party.

In a statement released by his media team in Awka, Obaze expressed satisfaction in the leadership of the party for listening carefully to all expressed concerns and dealing exhaustively with all related petitions before arriving at its findings, adding it showed internal workings of our party and the leadership’s commitment to charting a new course.

He however urged aggrieved aspirants to engage him in constructive dialogue to resolve prevailing differences, pleading them to set aside their differences and work together to achieve victory for the party come 18th November 2017.

Although the PDP flag bearer restated the resolve to base his campaign on issues and not to malign any opponent, he reminded the public that the forthcoming election is not about him but about the future of Anambra children and posterity.

The former Secretary to the State Government regretted that agents of the state government and some other faceless agents have resorted to tarnishing his image by sponsoring false information and unfounded allegation about him, saying they cannot distract him on focused campaigns.
