Obasanjo’s son pledges support for Buhari second term

Mr. Abraham Olujonwo Obasanjo, son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has pledged his support for the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a letter titled, “a clarion call to all Nigerians Youth to support the second term bid of President Buhari in 2019” and addressed to the Buhari Campaign Organisation on Wednesday, Olujonwo called on Nigerians to support the strides of the president, who according to him, pulled Nigeria out of bondage.

Obasanjo’s son letter was dated September 25, 2018 and was addressed to the spokesman of Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN).

Commending President Buhari over the new life his administration has given to the steel industry, Abraham Obasanjo urged Nigerians not to abandon the president’s bid to achieve his determination to industrialise Nigeria.

The letter reads in part: “The government is serious about development and has given life to the steel industry and Buhari administration is determined to industrialise our nation, thus making us a producing nation; the revival of the Ajeokuta steel complex and the completion of the Baro and Lokoja ports are examples.

“The current administration has sought to address our importation of petroleum products through the relocation of refineries. These are few example. A whole book is needed to put the achievements and successes of the current administration into details.

“The current administration has invested a lot in education, Agriculture, Security, road infrastructural development to aid the growth of the country despite receiving less revenue. The ingenuity of the current administration in proffering solutions is highly commendable. We are on the right path and will not deviate.

“The youth of our nation should join hands and support the progress and giant strides of President Buhari. He is working commendably to free us from past bondage and captivity”.

He however added that his reason to declare support for Buhari was a personal decision.
