NYSC corp members refuses COVID-19 jab in Borno

Some members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Borno, on Monday, refused the COVID-19 jab exercise in Borno, saying it was meant to kill.

Some of the NYSC corps members lined up to take the jab while others passionately rejected it.

Some of the Corp member who expressed their divergent views in an interview with Daily Times Correspondents.

The NYSC members who expressed their divergent views during the flagging of of the exercise at the NYSC Secretriate, in Maiduguri, said they are not properly sensitized on the vaccination program.

NYSC officials urged all corps members to go ahead and get vaccinated against COVID-19.

A Corp member who did not disclosed his name for the fear of persecution said, “Am not convinced to take the COVID-19 vaccine due to the happenings in the country and outside the country.

Another corp member “Am not taking the vaccine for now due to my health condition, according to the corp member she said she’s pregnant and for that reason she won’t be vaccinated.”

Another corp member said “Am not taking it due to the facts some Governors and Senators in the country have not taken it to show good example of leadership, he pointed Katsina governor as an example to his speech.

Most corps member have refused to take the COVID-19 vaccine in Maiduguri due to the facts they haven’t seen any public or press release from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja
