NYSC authorities in Abia deny water shortage in camp
Following rumours of infrastructural decay and shortage of water at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Abia state Permanent Orientation Camp, Umunna in Bende LGA, NYSC authorities in Abia says, it is not true that there is shortage of water in the camp.
The state coordinator NYSC Abia state Mrs Francesca Ifon disclosed this to newsmen Tuesday at the Orientation Camp, while reacting to some media reports on scarcity of water in the camp.
While expressing shock over the negative report on the issue of water in the camp, Mrs. Ifon maintained that the management of NYSC Abia state has always ensured that water is being generated at least twice a day in the camp.
The Abia state NYSC coordinator assured that the welfare of the corps members in the camp were adequately being taken care of and appealed to journalists to always verify their reports before publication.
However, some of the corps members at the camp in an interview confirmed that they have not experienced any water scarcity since their arrival on the camp.
Over 2,000, 2018 batch A corps members are participating in the 3 week orientation course.
