The leadership of National Union of Adamawa State students (NUADSS) has commended Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindo for giving foreign scholarship to 60 indigenes of the state. The students, who got scholarship to study medical related courses in India, appreciated the Governor for making the strides that is having a direct effect on reviving the education sector. NUADS in a Press statement signed by its National President, Comrade Luqman Rufa’u Bugema also appreciated Gov. Bindo for paying the 2018 scholarship to thousands of students of the state in various high institutions across the country. NUADS which pause a stand to be non-partisan under the central and recognized leadership of Luwman, are giving a sound warning to those impersonating the union to desist from doing so or “will have to face the anger of Adamawa state students.” In their letter, they maintain that the Union is non-religion,is non- political partisan and non-ethnical and as such they do not endorsed any candidate or partake in any political gathering. While distancing themselves from active participants of political activities in the state, the leadership of the Union appreciate the doggedness and resilience of some members who sheath their swords to unite for the common goals of the association. Comrade Rufa’u called on the students to be peaceful and shun violence especially in the forth coming elections slated to holds February and March this year. Dan Garba, Yola
