Nsukka LGA boss wife celebrates baby of the year

Wife of Nsukka Local Government Chairman, Chief Mrs. Lilian Omeje has presented cash and material gifts to the 2018 council’s baby of the year delivered at Opi Health Centre.

Mrs. Omeje, while presenting the gift items expressed delight noting that it was the first time any baby of the year is celebrated in the history of the council and promised‎ to sustain the celebration.

“I am so happy we are doing this to this baby boy. According to the information giving to us, he was born at about 12: 45 am on the first day of the year.

“We will continue on this laudable programme in Nsukka Local Government Area as it will foster unity among us women.

“My prayer is that this child will grow in the fear of God and become a good citizen to the council, state and the nation in general”, she prayed.

Receiving the gift items, Mrs. Oluchi Amah expressed joy and while thanking Mrs. Omeje for the kind and motherly gesture shown to her and her baby.

“I pray that God will continue to bless our first lady and Chief Patrick Omeje your husband and grant both of you the knowledge to pilot the affairs of the council”, Amah said.

The Supervisor for Health, Miss Florence Ugwu and Personal Assistant on media, Mr. Oliver Ugwuoke among others accompanied Mrs. Omeje to Opi Health Centre for the presentation.
