NPFL: Pillars fly to Lagos to battle MFM

Kano Pillars will fly in comfort to Lagos for their league match against hosts MFM on Wednesday, the club have announced.

The four-time Nigeria champions, like most other clubs in the country, travel by road across the country to honour their matches.

It was on one of such trips that they were attacked by armed robbers and several players were shot last year.

According to Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa, club boss Kabiru Baita said this travel plan will ensure they are not tired leading up to the Nigeria league Week 8 match.

The Azman flight from Kano will last an hour and a half, while the road trip could be for 12 hours.
