We are not recruiting staff -NEVACO spokesman

The National Ethics and Compliance Office (NEVACO) has denied that it was be carrying out a recruitment exercise as alleged in a recent publication in the media.
In a statement circulated in Ilorin, Kwara State, the Press Secretary to the Director General of the organization, Mr. Olayemo Ayoola said a recent publication initiated by one Mr. Tajudeen Toyin-Oke that NEVACO was recruiting people was far from the truth.
According to him, Toyin-Oke who works for another body; Civil Society for Ethics and Values Initiatives (CSFEVI) was a wrong person to speak for NEVACO pointing out that he; Toyin-Oke could only speak for the organization he belong to.
His words; “NEVACO is not newly as claimed by him but it is only collating the list of staff who have been working with the office for the past two years”.
Ayoola said though Toyin-Oke once served as Director of Finance and Accounts in NEVACO but has since been relieved of his appointment.
The Press Secretary in the statement said; “the attention of National Ethics and Compliance has been drawn to the publication in the leadership newspapers of Monday, 13th November, 2017 on page 17 credited to Mr. Tajudeen Toyin-Oke that the office is recruiting staff”
He added that the publication further alleged that the recruitment was being done by “a job racketeer team led by Otunba Dada and Olamide Alale who the were behind the new recruitment”.
“We want to unequivocally state here that Mr. Tajudeen Toyin-Oke is far from the seat of NEVACO governance. He can only know what exactly what is happening in his own organization-Civil Society for Ethics and Values Initiatives.
“ The person in question is the former Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA) of the office and had since been relieved of his appointment”, he added.
Ayoola said the agreement NEVACO reached with the presidency on its establishment was that it would be self accounting “which means that the office will fend for itself with respect to fund generation and application of the fund so generated”.
The Press Secretary urged the National Assembly not to entertain discussions with any individual not authorized by NEVACO instead, cross check when need arises with presidency on matters concerning it.
