A nonagenarian, Madam Janet Edo Uwaye Morgan Ohenhen Asemota, nee Enotoe who was allegedly murdered by his son, Godman OAsemota has been interred in Ehor, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.

She was said to have died on January 5, 2024 following injuries sustained after she was pushed by her son, Godman whom she has been having running battles with over his amorous relationship with a male neighbour in their vicinity.

According to an impeccable source, Madam Janet had severally cautioned Godman against such relationship with people of same-sex, a development which never yielded the desired result

This development, it was gathered, did not go down well with Godman who, it was gathered saw his mother as antagonist who had relentlessly embarrassed him, even in the public.

While there, he was said to have visited one Monday Osayi, an artisan in the neighbourhood who has severally been seen engaging in amorous relationships with Godman.

On that fateful day, news was said to have filtered to his mother who immediately rushed to the scene for the purpose of stopping them and also expose their unholy relationship.

Godman was said to have realized the presence of his mother who had raised alarm so as to attract the attention of those in the visinity.

While attempting to escape from the scene in order to avoid mob action, Godman was said to have pushed his mother who was by the door and she fell and had a spinal cord injury.

She was thereafter rushed to a nearby medical facility where she later died in the evening of the next day.

This development sets Godman against the family members who considered his role in the action that led to his mother’s death as premeditated.

On the one hand, members of the community said the action of Godman was a taboo and a sacrilege for which Godman must pay with his life.

An elder in the community, Pa Owenaze Osazuwa said that same sex relationship is a taboo in the land, adding that great calamity awaits Godman who has since gone into hidding.
