Non-indigenes agitate for political offices in Bayelsa

A political group of Non-indigenes in Bayelsa state, under the guise of Non-indigenes Restoration Forum, Bayelsa state chapter, has called for the consideration of its members for political offices in the National Assembly, State Assembly, and State executives.
The group made their positions known after an Executive meeting yesterday, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital.

Addressing newsmen, Chairman, South-south geo-political zone, Non-indigenes, Bayelsa state, Mr Jude Lawrence Ahmigbe, noted that they are not supporting a particular party of choice at the moment but their choice will be communicated soon, assuring members of their involvements in governance by any person they choose to support.
In his brief, High Chief, Obiedown Nwankwo, Onowu-Ndigbo, Bayelsa state, noted that our membership cuts across North-East, North-central, South-west, South-east and other areas, noting that our struggles to have a united front among our membership will never be in vain.
He asserted that the peaceful co-existence of its members in the state calls for more opportunities to serve in the state, adding that since it’s a season of politics, their mission is to achieve this feat.
