NOG Energy Week 2026 Set to Advance Africa’s Energy Ambitions
The 25th edition of NOG Energy Week will be held from 5–9 July 2026 at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, under the theme “Advancing Energy Ambitions for Competitive & Resilient Economies.”
The milestone event aims to convert policy momentum into bankable energy projects across Africa by convening ministers, CEOs, financiers, and technical experts to fast-track regional partnerships, upstream investment, and the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline.
This year’s edition coincides with renewed regional policy and project momentum. NNPC Ltd’s Gas Master Plan 2026 signals a shift from strategy to execution, targeting increased production, capital mobilisation, and development across gas-to-power, LPG, and industrial feedstock value chains.
At the same time, the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline is gaining diplomatic and feasibility momentum, with governments and multilateral partners advancing intergovernmental agreements and route studies. NOG Energy Week 2026 will interrogate these developments, prioritising sessions that translate national and regional commitments into deliverable projects, de-risked financing structures, and actionable implementation roadmaps.
The Strategic Conference’s Executive Committee, which guides policy and programming, includes top energy leaders such as Engr. Bayo Bashir Ojulari, Proscovia Nabbanja of Uganda National Oil Company, CEO, Jim Swartz of Chevron Nigeria MD, Dr Ainojie ‘Alex’ Irune of Oando Energy Resources MD, and Tony Attah of Renaissance Africa Energy CEO, alongside executives from bp, GNPC, COS-PETROGAZ, Schneider Electric, Tenaris, thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH, Siemens Energy, and representatives from the World Bank, African Development Bank, and Africa Finance Corporation.
Early confirmations underscore the programme’s policy and diplomatic significance, with Nigeria’s Ministers of State for Petroleum Resources, H.E. Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri and H.E. Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Uganda’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, H.E. Dr Canon Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, senior diplomats from Germany, Argentina, Morocco, Tanzania, and Zambia, and key regulatory bodies, including Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, and Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board participating. Industry leaders from IPPG, NLNG, and Agip are also confirmed, ensuring comprehensive representation across government, operators, and technical expertise.
Programme discussions will focus on strengthening regional and global partnerships to unlock cross-border energy infrastructure, examining how bilateral government relationships de-risk investments and accelerate approvals, showcasing deal structures that attract both international and domestic capital, and interrogating emerging gas-led upstream opportunities and export infrastructure projects, including the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline, to enhance energy security and competitiveness.
NOG Energy Week 2026 will host a full spectrum of events, including a strategic conference, an international exhibition, the NOG Energy Club, leadership roundtables, technical seminars, and deals lounges, alongside multiple networking and social engagements. The platform provides a dynamic environment for dialogue, partnerships, and deal-making that accelerates Africa’s energy market development.
With 7,500 attendees, 2,000 delegates, 150 speakers, and participants from 85 countries, the event positions Africa’s energy sector for actionable outcomes that drive investment, regional cooperation, and sustainable growth across the continent. More information is available at NOG Energy Week 2026.
