Nobody was fought, beaten- Police CP

The police in Enugu have denied claims that there was fracas at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in the state.
The commissioner of police Mr. Mohammed Danmallam stated this in Enugu on Tuesday after foiling tempted takeover of the party secretariat by Arch. Okey Ogbodo led group.

Danmallam said, “Nobody was fought, nobody was beaten. Our intervention ensured that no vandalism or attack was carried out”, he said.

The CP also denied the takeover of the APC secretariat by the police.We did not take over the party secretariat we are only providing security until the crisis is resolved.

He added the crisis began when the chairman of the party, Barr. Ben Nwoye chairman of APC called for a wider meeting of all contestants.
