Senator Musiliu Obanikoro who was confirmed as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the second time on Wednesday thanked the President of the Senate, Senator David Mark and other principal officers of the Senate for confirming his nomination, noting also that he hold no grouse against the All Progressives Congress Senators who were vehemently opposed to his return.
Shortly after he was asked to take a bow, a privilege due all serving or former senators, Obanikoro said that he has no ill feelings towards the senators adding that their position has amplified the strength of the nation’s democrcy.
The statement reads in parts” I have no ill feelings towards the Senators from Lagos who stood against me. Their position has amplified the strength of our democracy.
“I am particularly grateful to the President of the senate and other principal officers representing the senate majority and minority”
