No govt is above rule of Law – Prof Tahir
Former Director General, Nigerian Law school, Abuja, Prof Tahir Mamman has said that no government or individual is above the rule of Law. The Professor of law inferred that both the government and the governed are under the guiding principles of law.
Tahir who is a Senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) said this during the popular Kakaki Television Programme of AIT Tuesday, as a guest and a personality with the requisite knowledge on the topic: “Administration of criminal Justice: Rule of Law vs National security.”
He revealed that rule of law is a national issue that everyone’s hand must be on desk to make it workable, and government cannot effectively do well without the support of the populace.
