No fixed date yet to appoint new IG, says Presidency

The Presidency has said no date had been fixed for the declaration of a replacement to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu who arrived at retirement age on Monday.

Official representative Garba Shehu said on Monday on a Channels Television program that he didn’t know about any inescapable declaration.

He said the arrangement of the following IGP would not be founded on ethnic contemplations.
