There Would Be No Abandoned Projects in the State: Obiano

Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra has assured that there would be no abandoned projects in the state in line with his promise to continue, complete and commission all inherited and new projects.

Speaking yesterday at Women Development Centre during a ceremony mark his one year in office in Obiano said the economy of the state has been transformed as the business environment had been made conducive, adding that Anambra was now the most fancied investment destination.

While paying glowing tributes to the founding fathers of the state and his predecessors Mr Peter Obi, he assured that his administration would ensure Anambra remained the Light of the Nation.

According to him, over 2 million US dollar investment had been made in the state through the activities of the states Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA).

In the Agriculture sector, Obiano said over 660 million US dollar had been attracted to the sector to boost Rice production and processing, Cassava and Tomato production production and transformation of farmland to a Songhai project.

He further said that the Industrial and Oil and Sectors were being positioned and harnessed to contribute to the viability of the state adding that the internal revenue of the state had been raised from N500 million to N1.1 billion per month, promising that the welfare of workers in the state would continue to receive attention.
