NNPP chieftain admonishes political leaders to reflect sacrifices at Eid-el-Kabir

A South-West chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has celebrated with the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, an event that denotes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to the will of the Almighty.
He spoke through a personal statement he issued on Thursday to commemorate the Sallah.
Ajadi congratulated the Muslim faithful and prayed that Allah accepts their supplications and acts of obedience.
He enjoins the Muslims and Nigerian political leaders to reflect on the essence of the occasion, “which bears strong meaning and significance for the nation.”
He said that sacrifice and duty were essential ingredients.of the Eid-el- Kabir, urging the political leadership in the country to ensure that they fulfilled what they promised the electorate during the campaign exercise.
He also called on Nigerians to use the occasion of Eid- el-Kabir to spare a prayer for the nation for continuous peace and stability.
“I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir and I pray to Allah to accept their supplications and acts of obedience.

“I call on political leaders to reflect on the essence of the occasion, which bears strong meaning and significance for the nation. They should reflect on sacrifices and righteousness by keeping to their promises made to the electorate during the campaign exercise.
“I also call on the electorate to continue praying for peace in the country, as the political leaders cannot deliver dividends of democracy in an atmosphere of chaos and instability.
“Once again, I call on the Muslims to celebrate peacefully and moderately,” the statement read.
