NMA Greets Buhari

Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has congratulated Gen. Muhammandu Buhari on his victory at the March 28 presidential election.

It urged Buhari to unite the country more as he is taking over the running of the affairs of the country come may 29.

The medical body said: “The NMA as the custodians of the people’s health believes that a healthy nation is reflected in the health of her citizenry in both the primary, secondary and tertiary health sectors”.

Towards effective governance and meeting the challenges in the health sector, in order to attain Universal Health Coverage (UCH), the association, in a statement signed by its president, Kayode Obembe, said it is available for collaboration with the government as it has always done towards effective policy planning in charting a better health sector.
