NITDA seeks partnership with NUC on ICT curriculum

As Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a panacea for rapid economic growth and development, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has called for partnership with the National Universities Commission (NUC) to design ICT curriculum for Nigerian universities.
Mr YinkaAdejube, the South-West Zonal Director of the agency made the call in an interview with news Lagos over the weekend, explaining that the curriculum of universities ought to have been reviewed to allow institutions of higher learning to produce employable graduates.
He noted that producing employable graduates, especially in ICT would give necessary impetus to nation’s economy.
According to him; “We are planning partnership with NUC to review curriculum of courses in the universities, especially in the area of ICT. We want our graduates to be employable and to have enough experience before they graduate through the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme and Industrial Attachment (IT).
