NITDA pledges cooperation with Kano Govt

The Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has pledged the Agency’s commitment to develop capacity of youths of Kano in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
The aim is to empower them to stand on their feet and also become employers of labour, thereby contributing to the GDP of the Nation.
Dr. Pantami made the pledge when he led the Management Staff of the agency on a courtesy visit to the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in his office.
The DG was at the Government House to express appreciation to the governor for donating an office building to NITDA, at Sheikh Nasiru Kabara Housing Estate, to enable it open its Zonal Office in Kano.
On his part, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje appreciated NITDA in its effort to develop and regulate Information Technology (IT) and also in promoting the diversification of the revenue generation from oil to ICT related innovation in Nigeria.
Governor Ganduje urged NITDA to make good use of the Kano office in promoting ICT innovation in the state and assured of continuous support and collaboration with the agency in the development of ICT in Kano and the nation at large.
