NITDA, AEA sign MoU to foster effective, efficient service delivery

In line with the change mantra of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the NITDA headquarters Abuja with the ardor to strengthen ties and heighten the level of service delivery, and the aspiration to change the way things are done.

The MoU signed include areas of mutual beneficial programmes, services and projects, technical support services (ICT Hubs), capacity building, and setting up of online base training portal for SMEs designed towards rapid growth and development of the country. The MoU is expected to last for four (4) years, from 30th August 2016.

In his remark the Acting Director General of NITDA, Dr. Vincent Olatunji stated that signing of MoU with AEA will aid in strengthening the ties that existed between the two agencies and also impel towards effective and efficient service delivery to citizens at both urban and rural areas of the country.

The agency will work effortlessly on its side to see that rapid growth and development is been attained and also send a strong signal to citizens on the activities of government with the enthusiasm to change the way things are done in the country.

The Acting Director General of AEA, Mr. Arabi Muhammed Tukur stated that his agency will work hard towards the full implementation of the MOU signed, and will toil with NITDA towards the success of the document, which by the second quarter of 2017 some of the structures will be put in place and this will impact the citizens and the nation at large thus creating an avenue for foreign investors.

Both agencies will duly perform and execute the various functions, obligations and responsibilities allocated, so as to achieve the objectives of the MoU which is channeled towards effective and efficient service delivery and also the swift growth and development of the country at the end of the day.
