NIS Distributes Presidential Election Allowances

The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kaduna State Command, Mr. Nuhu Apang-Takum, has said that the process used in the disbursement of the allowance for those that participated in the presidential polls was transparent and open.

 

Reacting to reports of discrepancies with other agencies, Apang-Takum pointed out that the funds from the National Headquarters was based on the number of local government areas.

 

He also noted that the welfare allowance for each officer varies based on rank and the place of work, adding that: “In Kaduna State we mobilised 330 officials and it varies from state to state.

“I want to say that the whole process of disbursing the welfare was transparent and the papers are there for all to see everybody signed the papers as they collect their monies. Everybody here collect between 3 – 40 thousand Naira depending on the place of work and the rank of the official involved.
