NIPOST targets 1,500 outlets to reach rural communities

Post Master General of Federation, Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi has said that the national postal sector, which was in a state of comatose before the current administration came on board was undergoing reforms to generate more revenue for the country.
NIPOST, he said, has at least 1500 outlets nationwide that will be used to reach the rural dwellers through e-government.
Adegbuyi, who dropped the hint in Abuja during the World Postal Day, added that the NIPOST Stamp Duty Reform Bill before the National Assembly was a sure means to alleviate poverty and used to generate employment for the teeming youths.
He said that the national addressing system is to be developed to enhance both postal services and security services nationwide.
The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Communications, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ujam said that the house will ensure speedy passage of the bill.
