NiMet predicts cloudy, dust haze weather conditions for Saturday
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Saturday.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Friday in Abuja.
It added that there would be prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most cities of the region during the afternoon and evening hours with night time temperatures of 21 to 27 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted that there would be prospects of morning thunderstorms over the coast of the South-East and Owerri and Aba during the forecast period.
It also predicted that some island and coastal cities would experience isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours with night time temperatures of 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted that northern states would experience moderate dust hazy conditions with less than 2,000m horizontal visibility over Zaria, Kano and Dutse and night time temperatures of 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, the extreme North is expect to have improvement in horizontal visibilities with further cloud build up and chances of rains over the South and central states.
