A former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has been designated as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
His appointment comes as a replacement for Late Alhaji Isa Funtua who was the former Chairman.

According to findings by DAILY TIMES, he was appointed and introduced on Tuesday by the Publisher of Vanguard Newspaper, Sam Amuka at a meeting.
Leader of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria, Mr Nduka Obaigbena, was likewise at the gathering.
