Nigerien Leader Lauds Nigeria-Niger Relations
The President of Niger Republic, Alhaji Muhammadou Isoufou, has extolled the cordial relations between Nigeria and his country.
He spoke through the Majority Leader of the Nigerien National Assembly, Alhaji Zakari Umar, who led a 15-man team to visit Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State on Sunday to congratulate him on the electoral victory of the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Isoufou, “the citizens of Niger Republic were happy with the peaceful conduct of the Nigerian 2015 general election. “We were all concerned before the polls on how they were going to turn out, but Nigeriens were happy with the peace and unity that had reigned in Nigeria after the elections.”
