Nigerian Muslims Task Buhari on Campaign Promises

Nigerian Muslims have charged the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), to ensure that he fulfils his promises to the Nigerian people. The Muslims, under the auspices of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), gave the charge on Tuesday, in Ilorin, at a special prayer for the continued peace, progress and development of the country.
The prayer was convened and held at the Ilorin residence of the Secretary General of the Association, Professor Is-haq Oloyede. The NSCIA General Secretary, who was also the immediate past Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, said the prayer was informed by the peaceful conduct and tranquility that followed last Presidential and National Assembly elections.
He observed that it was the grace of God that defused the tension and fear of post-election violence that preceded the March 28 polls, in which the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), emerged winner.
