Nigerian Air Force appoints New AOCs, redeploys other senior officers

The Nigerian Air Force has appointed three (3) new Air Officers Commanding some of its Commands while redeploying 14 other senior officers in a shake-up.

The new AOCs are Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, formerly the Director of Operations at NAF HQ, now Air Officer Commanding Tactical Air Command, Makurdi, Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Idris, Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Kaduna and Air Vice Marshal Remigus Ekeh, Air Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Lagos.

A statement signed by Air Vice Marshal Olatokunbo Adesanya, Director of NA Public Relations said the appointments and redeployments is part of routine exercise at ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.

“In the same vein, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Yahaya, the former AOC Logistics Command has been appointed Chief of Administration at NAF HQ while AVM Christopher Okoye, formerly AOC Air Training Command is redeployed to Defence headquarters as Director of Evaluation.

“Also redeployed are AVM Olusoji Awomodu as Director of Operations at Defence headquarters, AVM Okechukwu Ntukogu, as Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) at Mobility Command, Yenegoa and AVM Napoleon Bali as Director of Operations at NAF headquarters.

AVM Mahmoud Ahmed is the Director of Legal Services, AVM Dahiru Sanda is the Director of Space Utility at DHQ and AVM Charles Owho is the Director of Evaluation at NAF HQ.
Similarly, Air Commodore Ado Inuwa has been appointed as Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Air Commodore Aliyu Aliyu Bello who was the former Commander, 401 Flying training School, Kaduna is now Director of Training at NAF HQ.

Group Captain Ahmed Dan is the new Commander 401 Flying Training School, Kaduna. “The posting are to take effect from 29th January 2018”, the stated further said.
