Nigeria has suffered under APC – Abia PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Abia Chapter has berated the hunger bestowed on Nigeria by the activities of the All Progressive Alliance, APC at the national level, stating that PDP wants to change the bad change.

Speaking in Umuahia when the leadership of the party in the state had interaction with journalists, the chairman of the party in Abia, Sir Johnson Okebaram Onuigbo said Nigerians are passing through terrible period in the hands of APC, regretting, “we were warned”.

“Nigeria is passing through a terrible period at the hands of APC. We, PDP want to change the bad change. PDP want to ensure that there is security in the country. The spate of killings under the APC is unprecedented and PDP is working had to give Nigeria peace and tranquillity”, he said.

He further said, “There is hunger in the land. Hunger is ravaging the country and Nigeria is suffering under APC. It is important all put hands together to remove the bad administration. We need to change the change”.

Sir Onuigbo said the Benue killings are not pleasant, stating “we have to remove APC and bring in PDP who knows the problem of the people. There must be restructuring if you want us to stay as one Nigeria. Let us talk”.

The Abia PDP chieftain said that there are many reasons Nigerians must struggle and remove “the monster” ravaging the country; otherwise, all will become Muslims.

According to him, “APC does not love Nigeria as protests are everywhere” in the country, “we must speak out”.

He described PDP as a peace-loving, God-fearing party that ruled the country for 16 years “before the enemy came and sowed the tars”.

“Nigeria was enjoying, better and competing with other nations until locust came and ravaged the nation”, stating, “but in our nature, we want change”.

In the state, he said PDP will give all aspirants level play ground and there will be no automatic ticket, pointing out “there will be no return-return, including at the office of the governor. Time of imposition and impunity is gone.

“We have learnt our lessons and we are going to right the wrong. That is the position of PDP today in Abia State”.

Sir Onuigbo used the opportunity to describe the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu as having human face, stating that it is only in Abia that salaries are being paid.

Responding, the Abia state Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalist, Comrade John Emejor described the occasion as unique and first in history, disclosing that the interaction “does not suggest that all is well with journalists in Abia”.
