Nigeria Beer Festival partners LASG for bigger Detty December

Lagos is set to host an expanded Nigeria Beer Festival this December in partnership with the state’s ministry of tourism, arts and culture.

The 2025 edition has now been added to the state’s flagship Detty December calendar and is expected to attract thousands of fun-seekers from within and outside Nigeria.

Akinola Oluwaleimu, coordinator of the festival, said the event is designed as more than just a beer celebration.

“It’s not just about drinking beer, it’s about discovering the stories, the craftsmanship, and the cultural value behind every brew. It’s also an opportunity to build a community of responsible beer lovers who appreciate the richness of our brewing traditions,” he said.

According to him, the festival will feature beer tastings, live music, culinary showcases, and interactive sessions with brewers and industry players.

Idris Aregbe, special adviser to the Lagos governor on tourism, said the state is committed to making the festival a permanent feature of its December activities.

“The Nigeria Beer Festival is a strategic platform that aligns perfectly with our Detty December vision, one that promotes tourism, culture, and economic growth,” he said.

“We are building on the massive success of last year’s edition, which attracted over 1.2 million fun-seekers, and we are poised to make 2025 even more impactful.”

The festival is expected to boost tourism, hospitality, and local businesses while reinforcing Lagos as a global destination for culture and entertainment.
