Niger University honours Zamfara Deputy Governor

A Niger Republic based University, Al-Nahda International University Niamey, has conferred an honorary Doctorate Degree in Islamic Shariah Law on Zamfara State Deputy Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad (Sarkin Malaman Gusau).
The conferment ceremony was held at the University Convocation hall Niamey during a special award programme designed by the University to honour some African elites for their outstanding performance in their various field of human endeavour.
Earlier in his Speech, Vice Chancellor of the University Professor, Abduol Aziz Umar Sanda extolled the qualities of Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, which he said stood him out for the honorary degree.
The Vice Chancellor said the good leadership qualities exhibited by the Deputy Governor especially in the development of education and Shariah legal system in Zamfara State and other humanitarian services had placed his refutation higher internationally.
Professor, Abdoul-Aziz added that the award given to him along other African leaders had symbolised total appreciation of the Deputy Governor’s good work.
The Deputy Governor, who was represented by Honourable Dayyabu Adamu Rijiya, thanked the University for finding him worthy of the honorary award and promised to do more in the development of Sharia legal system.
He called on governments at all levels to be more focus to the development of education, as no society could develop positively with proper education.
