“We therefore want to bring it to the notice of all Nigerlites that the plan of the out- going government is to create fresh troubles apart from the ones earlier caused by mismanagement.”

The statement also read,” We are also surprise that the governor has come up with the idea of recruiting for one University of Education in Minna , the question is that where are the structures for the University of Education beyond hiding under the TERTFUND projects of the College Of Education Minna.”

Reacting to the allegations the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Aliyu, Mr. Israel Ebije described APC claim as spurious, shameful and gross misplacement of agenda. He said it is regrettable they have decided to embark on errand of cheap blackmail to veil their synister agenda against the people.

Ebije therefore alleged that the incoming APC led administration intends to reduce workforce in the state civil service. He intimated that the state civil servants must prepare for hard times adding that mass retrenchment looms.

The spokesman of the governor maintained that the establishment of the the new university is done in the best interest of the state and the entire North. He said the North has deficit of qualified teachers, saying the new university will set the pace in grooming teachers in the region and beyond.
