NiDCOM, ACF2025 partner to harness Diaspora creativity, empower youth, women

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) is partnering with the African Cultural Festival (ACF2025) to harness the creativity of the African Diaspora and promote youth and women empowerment on a global stage.

The collaboration will take centre stage at the African Diaspora Summit, scheduled for September 19–21 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, bringing together global leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers under the theme: “Africa to the World: Culture, Creativity, and Collaboration.”

Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the partnership will not only showcase Africa’s rich cultural and creative industries but also serve as a platform to mobilise Diaspora expertise, drive innovation, and forge stronger socio-economic ties that benefit young people and women across the continent.

Supported by the Government of Pennsylvania and the Dauphin County Commissioners, the three-day festival will feature cultural showcases, youth leadership forums, business networking, and exhibitions in fashion, art, music, film, technology, and cuisine.

According a statement signed by Gabriel Odu, NiDCOM will spotlight Nigeria’s vibrant creative sector, fostering strategic partnerships that align with the nation’s economic and cultural development goals.

The African Cultural Festival, officially unveiled on March 26, 2025, at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg, will celebrate nine “Duduplugs” of African creativity, fashion, music, art, tech, film, dance, literature, food, and home.
