The Referees Committee of Nigeria Football Federation has suspended, until the end of the current season, Referee John Charles and Assistant Referee Ogunta Matador, for poor performance in a Glo Premier League Week 4 match on Sunday.

Both arbiters were on duty when Sunshine Stars FC of Akure hosted Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt on Sunday. The homers won the game 2-1.

Chairman of the NFF Referees Committee, Alhaji Yusuf Ahmed Fresh said the two officials were suspended for “gross misconduct and performance below the required standard.”
