NewsDirect worker loses father

A journalist with the Nigerian NewsDirect newspaper, Mr. Sola Sofolahan, has lost his father, late Rev. Elder Titus Aremu Oladehinde Sofolahan (ACIS), PhD aged 77.
Late Sofolahan, a native of Toloko Village via Alagada, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State is survived by wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, nieces and nephews.
According to the deceased’s younger brother and now head of Sofolahan Family, Chief Isola Sofolahan, his brother slept in the Lord at the age of 77 without any symptoms of illness. The funeral rite was held on September 29, 2017 at his residence, No. 7, Sodeinde Street, Abule Egba, Lagos while Christian Wake Keep was held at the same venue on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
Until his death, he was a devout Christian, responsible and a loyal politician, philanthropist and a community leader.
Speaking with the residents of Abule Egba poured encomiums on the late Sofolahan who they all described as God-fearing and loving man who is ready to touch lives and making life worth living for the people especially for his unparalleled humanitarian services and for his consistent contributions towards peace and progress of Ojokoroland.
Among prominent Nigerians who have besieged his residence to condole with his family, included the SSA to Lagos State Governor on Commerce, Hon. Benjamin Olabinjo; Ojokoro LGA Chairman, Hon. Adewale Bello; former Executive Secretary, Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Ipaye, and member LAHA, Hon. Makinde representing Ojokoro.
