New AIB boss resumes, calls for teamwork

The new Commissioner/Chief Executive of the Accident Investigations Bureau (AIB), Engr Akin Olateru, has called for teamwork to move the agency to greater heights.
In his remark at a brief ceremony while taking over as the AIB Commissioner, the incoming Commissioner, Engr Olateru, said there is time for everything in life adding that only change was permanent.
Olateru thanked the outgoing commissioner for being able to move the agency forward during his tenure adding that AIB will be taking to greater height before he leaves the agency.
He said to achieve that, all hands must be on deck through hard work and dedication to duty stressing that it was a new dawn in the agency.
While describing aviation as highly technical, regulated and dynamic Olateru called for total dedication to duty by workers Olateru, said in order to put the agency on track.
Olateru thanked the outgoing commissioner for being able to move the agency to its present level during his tenure adding, that AIB will be taking to greater height before he leaves the agency while admonishing workers to be dedicated to duty always.
While describing aviation as highly technical, regulated and dynamic Olateru said AIB was the smallest
agency in the industry saying, that only cooperation, understanding and handwork will lift the agency.
In his handover speech, Dr. Felix Abali, thanked all those who worked with him and sued for cooperation with the incoming commissioner. He urged workers to be above board at all times and work with the management rather than employing the bring him down syndrome in the system.
Abali noted that some people during his tenure were out for destruction and advised that such negative tendencies should not be encouraged if the agency will move forward.
