Network drums support for Atiku as thousands of APC members decamp

The presidential aspiration of former vice president Atiku Abubakar recently received a boost as a group known as Waziri Frontiers Network (WFN) called on Nigerians to massively vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate next year.

The group which used the occasion which took place at the Atiku Presidential Campaign Office in Wuse 2 Abuja to receive thousands of All Progressives Party (APC) members into the PDP, also inaugurated its Executives committee.

At the occasion, a delegation of the Network was received by the Director of Contact and Mobilization Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCO) Dr. Nicholas Msheliza and his Deputy, Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi.

In his remarks, Dr. Nicholas congratulated the newly inaugurated Executive committee members and urged them to take the mandate of delivering the PDP Presidential Candidate to the grassroots. He tasked them to focus on issue based campaigns when the right avenue is made open by constituted authority.

The Director General of WFN Engr. Dan Ohiomoba in his speech thanked the DG APCO for receiving them in a grand style and promised that members of his Network would embark on aggressive voter sensitization and mobilize immediately INEC declares campaigns open in a few days.

Engr. Ohiomoba noted that “APC made an expensive mistake for fielding a candidate who has no reason for re-election in the forthcoming general election,” saying also that “the candidacy of President Muhammadu Buhari is victory for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.”

He therefore urged members to go and educate eligible grassroots voters on vote monitoring and vote protection as “it is clear that the APC have settled for rigging and manipulation in 2019”.

The South East Zonal Chairman of the group, Hon.Iboko Sylvester in his remarks advised member to be confident in their support for Atiku noting that power has finally returned to the people.

While receiving the decamping received APC members to the PDP, Engr. Dan Ohiomoba said the ruling party is on its way out of Aso Rock Presidential Villa as the defeat of its candidate Muhammadu Buhari is a settled matter by the people of Nigeria who are fade up with bad governance and its consequent poverty and hunger pervading the entire country.

“Can the APC give one eason why Nigerians should vote Buhari in the forthcoming general election? There is no reason for that because there is so much suffering as the economy is in coma,” Engr. Ohiomoba stated.

Highlights of the occasion was the burning of hundred of brooms by the former APC members who are now with the PDP.
