The Board of Directors of Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Chris U Mmeje as its Acting managing Director (MD)/Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The company disclosed this in a statement filed with the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday, signed by its Company Secretary, F.I. Onyenekwe.
According to the statement, Mmeje has been the Finance Director of the company since 2008, prior to which he had a distinguished career in the banking industry that spanned over 25 years.
The pharmaceutical producing and distribution company also noted that Mmeje’s appointment takes immediate effect, following the resignation of Mrs Ebere Igboko Ekpunobi, who suffered a sporting accident and had to travel overseas for medication, which is still on-going necessitated her resignation on 11th September, 2017.
Mmeje will consequently oversee the company until the emergence of a substantive Managing Director.
