All you need to know about the Headies 2015

It was a gathering of top notch entertainment big shots at the 10th anniversary edition of the prestigious Headies awards held at the Landmark Event Centre, Oniru Lagos. Here are tit bits from the eventful showdown.

The venue

Organisers of the event sure spent quality time setting up the venue, from the red carpet to the stage of the awards!! All was on point, big thumbs to Ayo Animashaun and the entire Hip TV crew on that.

The host

At the announcement of the pair host, I was skeptical on the prowess of Kaffy but sure, both compere Comedian Bovi & Kaffy did exceptional justice to the night connecting with the audience at every point in time.

About the proposal

Eva Alordiah got engaged on national TV, making that the most talked about thing regarding her for a while now. And even though Twitter sphere might have another opinion about the public proposal, I know I love weddings and I learnt how to kiss with no care in the world in front of a million viewers.

Best performance of the night

He is sure the King Kong of the moment dishing out one of the epic performance of the night of his hit song ‘King Kong’. Vector’s craft on the stage was second to none depicting why indeed he is worth winning the Best rap single and lyricist on the roll awards. Other fabulous performances of the night was the duo of Adekunle Gold, Simi & Falz, legendary 2Face Idibia, Ycee, Pepenazi, Harrysong, Timi Dakolo, Kunle Ajayi and Majek Fashek

And Glo ambassadors dominates trophies
Four of Globacom’s brand ambassador garnered trophies at the 2015 Headies awards. The brand ambassadors include Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Mike Abaga, popularly called MI.  The next generation network, has congratulated the four outstanding brand ambassadors for
making the brand proud by winning the laurels at the 2015 Headies awards.
In a statement released in Lagos on Tuesday, Globacom described the various awards won by its brand ambassadors as a testament to their popularity and a confirmation of their iconic status in the
entertainment industry.

And the script was actually flipped

The stage finally became hot when organisers announced Mavin records’ Reakado Banks as the next rated act which did not go well with the YBNL family as Olamide went hard on supposed organisers of the event ranting on live TV. After several hours of rant on social media, the beef was finally settled as both label boss posted pictures and apologized to fans.
