Ndidi likely to replace Nemanja Matic

Ex-England midfielder Owen Hargreaves has urged his former club Manchester United to make a move for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi in the summer.
Since his move to Leicester from Belgian side Genk in 2017, Ndidi has been one of the best defensive midfielders. The Nigerian has been a key player for the Foxes so far this season, helping Brendan Rodgers’ men to move third on the log.

Hargreaves believes the Red Devils should make a move for Ndidi as he believes the midfielder will replace Nemanja Matic in near future, with his current contract nearing ned at Old Trafford.

“I think they need an Ndidi type, a defensive sitter. If you have (Paul) Pogba and (Bruno) Fernandes then I think you need a defensive one there,” he told Premier League Productions.
“I think they also need a left-sided center-back. They have Lindelof, Maguire, Bailly but a left-sided center-back would make a big difference,” he added.
