The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has pledge its total support to Churches in promoting pilgrimage in the country. This the commission said is also to enable intending pilgrims perform the yearly pilgrimage without hitches.

The Executive Secretary, Rev. Uja Tor Uja stated this in Abuja on Wednesday while recieving the founder of the Love of Christ Cherubim and Seraphim Church London, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi in his office.

Represented by the Head of Operations Rev Amos Yohanna, the executive secretary disclosed that, “NCPC as a government agency is committed to continuously giving the church all administrative support to perform the yearly Pilgrimage without hitches”.

Rev. Uja commended Rev. Mother Ajayi for her unflinching commitment to Christian Pilgrimage describing her as one of the pillars of Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria saying, “no Nigerian woman has been so committed to pilgrimage like her”.

He said: “So far, the Esther Ajayi Foundation has single handedly sponsored about 145 pilgrims to the Holy land.

“Her recording zero abscondment with all her pilgrims who perform pilgrimage in Israel and returning without anyone absconding is an achievement that is instructive and should be commended”.

In her earlier remarks, the Rev. Mother said that she was at NCPC with her team to appreciate the Commission for the effective and excellent way Christian Pilgrimage is being conducted.

She also commended the Executive Secretary and his management team for providing her Foundation with the enabling environment to perform the yearly pilgrimage to the holy land smoothly.

“The Esther Ajayi Foundation has been able to achieve so much as a result of the close relationship with the NCPC through its operations.

“Our foundation has never recorded any incident of abscondment of pilgrims under my watch due to our extreme vetting which allows only the honest and committed Christians to scale through the selection process.

“We are ready to sponsor 100 intending pilgrims to Israel for this year’s Main Pilgrimage which will commence on the 24 November, 2018 including 10 staff of the commission in appreciation of the goodwill and support the Foundation has received from the Commission over the years”, she said.
