Navy sets up committee for Made-in-Abia products

Nigeria Navy says, it has set up a committee to partner with Abia State government for the promotion and patronage of the Made-Abia products.
The new Flag Officer Commanding (F. O.C) Navy Training Command, Lagos Rear Admiral Obi Ferdinand Offodire disclosed this in Umuahia while on courtesy visit to the state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, stating that what remains is the signing of necessary documents to enable the partnership commence.
While expressing the appreciation of Nigeria Navy over the support of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to the Navy, the Flag Officer promised to continue to assist the state in maintaining security in the state.
He also appreciated the Governor for deciding to construct in the Navy school, Owerinta as well as a guest house for the Navy which is now 90% completed..
Rear Admiral Offodire informed that he was in the state for a familiarization tour of his formation in the state following his new appointment as the Flag Officer Commanding commended the State government for building.
Responding, the state Governor Dr.Okezie. Ikpeazu appreciated the support of the Navy for the Made_in-Abia products and called for more partnership with Abia State government in the promoting the made-in Abia products.
The Governor, who was represented by the acting Secretary to the State government Dr. Vivian Umah, urged the Nigeria Navy to continue to maintain peace and security in the state as well as requested that Abia indigenes be admitted into the Nigeria Navy.
Ikpeazu assured that the state would always support the Navy in its operations in Abia and informed that his government is building a guest house for the Navy in the State.
