NASC appoints Yero deputy clerk, redeploys Atiku

The National Assembly Service Commission on Tuesday announced the appointment of Engr Bashir Aminu Yero as the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA).

The Commission approved Yero’s appointment during an emergency meeting of the
Commission held today Tuesday, 24th December,2024.

In a sharp reversal, the Commission has approved the appointment of the Director of Finance & Accounts, Ibrahim Atiku, as the Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement and Supplies.

Recall that less than 48 hours ago, the name of Ibrahim Atiku was announced as deputy clerk to the National Assembly.

On the other hand, Engr. Liman Baba Sanda,former Secretary of the Directorate of Procurement & Supplies has been re-deployed as the Secretary of Estate and Works.

The Commission noted that the elevations and
redeployment were in recognition of their hard-work and administrative competence
and therefore enjoined them to continue to uphold the confidence reposed in them.

Letters to the effect of the fresh appointments were signed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission,Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi.

The Commission emphasized, that all appointments and redeployments would take effect from 2nd February, 2025.
