Nasarawa urges Christians’ pilgrims to go for screening or forfeit Holy land’s trip
The Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board (CPWB), Barrister Musa Aloko, has warned all the intending Pilgrims in the state to hasten up with their screening exercise or forfeit their journey to the Holy land.
The pilgrims’ boss gave the warning during an interactive section with journalists on the ongoing screening exercise of intending Christians’ pilgrimage in Lafia, the state capital.
According to Aloko, the directive was given to him by the National Christian Pilgrims Commissions (NCPC), saying all pilgrimage matters should be completed on or before January 10, 2019.
He lamented that already the state was lacking behind schedule as only 77 persons were screened out of 120 people that were approved by Governor Al makura, to perform the spiritual journey as of last Saturday.
“The screening process of Christian pilgrimage has commence in earnest, so far, we have screen 77 persons, about 120 others are still outstanding,
The Governor of Nasarawa state Umaru Tanko All Makura has graciously approved 120 slots for the state, I therefore call on participants to hasten up with the exercise,” He added.
Aloko who assured the state government that amongst the participants, earmarked for the spiritual trip, if the needful is done in the holy land, would come back and in packed to the spiritual lives of the people of the state.
He therefore, called on concern people to make sure they participate in the trip as deferring the journey would amount to adding burden to the state Government.
