Nasarawa students protest non-accreditation of courses, extortion

There was cohesion at the early hours of Wednesday, (yesterday) in Lafia as Students and Ex-Students of Nasarawa State Polytechnic barricaded the major high ways in the state, protesting over non accreditation of all courses in the institution.

The students who were carrying placards with different inscription such as; no course is accredited, we are tied of stories, our certificate is not recognised among others.

Spokesperson of the student, Umar Abdullahi, said the management is charging them N2, 000 each for accreditation since 2013 yet nothing happened.

He said that all courses in the institution have lost their accreditation since 2013 and the government through the management was not making any efforts.
