Nasarawa ready to battle ABS in Ilorin—Ichull

Ahead of Sunday’s encounter with ABS, Lordson Ichull says Ilorin is another ‘home ground’ for Nasarawa United.

Ichull revealed that most of the current Solid Miners’ players, including himself, began their football careers in the city.

“Ilorin is like our home ground, not a second home ground because most of us at Nasarawa United came from there,” Ichull said.

“I started my playing career there and most of my teammates came from ABS. I came from Kwara Football Academy, moved to ABS, Warri Wolves then to Nasarawa United. So I believe it’s a familiar ground to us.

“There will be nothing so difficult for us there on Sunday, all we have to do is to make good use of the opportunities that comes our way. It’s like our home so we hope everything works out well for us to secure a very good result against ABS.”

Inquired about a possible move away from the Lafia side, the former Warri Wolves midfielder said: “Any transfer that comes around right now will be a welcome idea.

“But I believe one has to do the right thing because I am a player of Nasarawa United and still under contract with them,” he continued.

“So any offer that comes around must go through my current club’s management but it’s a welcome idea if any club shows interest.”
