NAPTIP

The National Agency For The Prohibition of The Trafficking of Persons (NAPTIP) has called on micro influencers to spread awareness campaign through different platforms, facilitate information sharing and act as advocates in the fight against human trafficking.

At a Micro Influencers dialogue with the Director -General NAPTIP, Dame Julie Okah Donli in Lagos on Friday, the DG said the fight against human trafficking is a moral obligation needing the involvement of everyone.

Julie urged the public to speak up, be vigilant and report anything that doesn’t seem right, as NAPTIP treats all information with professionalism and confidentiality.

She also said that NAPTIP has a whistle -blowing policy with commensurate rewards in place.

She said NAPTIP will engage security agencies to help track online activities of human traffickers.

Also, Miss Nigeria 2017 Ehiguese Mildred says ” I am in partnership with NAPTIP and I am working on my organisation for the rehabilitation of women and children who have been rescued from human trafficking that has to do with rape and incest. My organisation will help them”.
